The Perfect Loop

🚨 Delivery riders don't have to pick up from your restaurant 🚨

Recently, I've had some really insightful conversations with restaurants regarding the importance of building strong relationships with delivery riders. The key takeaway: it's crucial to become a preferred pick up spot for riders.

Here's why → Delivery platforms like Uber Eats & Just Eat Takeaway.com etc. classify their riders as self-employed, meaning they are not obligated to accept orders from your restaurant.

So, (beyond being a great thing to do), creating positive experiences for delivery riders at your restaurant can have a significant impact. It's one of the few controllable factors that plays a part in riders accepting your orders.

This creates a perfect loop - happy riders lead to happy customers, which in turn leads to more orders. Plus, by focusing on this area you can gain a competitive advantage over competitors who neglect the delivery rider experience.
